We celebrated our Golden Age Festival on Friday, October 28, 2011 before an enthusiastic audience at the Awakening Center on the eve of the conclusion of the Mayan calendar and the Earth’s entrance into the Golden Age. 

Somehow we managed to pack a lot of entertainment into about five hours and a good time was had by all.

We celebrated well into the early morning hours beginning with a film “October 28, 2011: The Emancipation of the Human Race” by Scott Mowry. The film concluded with our lovely Golden Age Girl, Krishna McKenna, raising a Golden Earth globe (designed by Carla Lowry) towards the sky.

The musical portion of our evening began with a beautiful vocal and acoustic guitar performance from Mona Michele. Then Christopher of the Wolves wowed the audience with his array of exotic instruments, including the didgeridoo.

Finally, guitarist Scott Huckabay took the stage and led us past the midnight hour with a sensational and powerful performance. All in all, it was a magical night at the Awakening Center.

A heartfelt hanks to all who contributed to the festival and as most special thank you to all who came to be a part of this amazing day.
